Ana’s Death and Rebirth / アナの死と再生

In Mexico City, Anna, who made me feel the high potential as a space dancer. Anna, who looks at people with incredibly beautiful and strong eyes. But, I got a sad news that Anna died after my leaving to Japan. I still can’t believe, she was so young and so fine. The dead Anna has become a member of the same Extra Dimension that Elena lives in, so she appears in my work many times.

メキシコシティで、スペースダンサーとしての高い可能性を感じさせたアナ。信じられないほど美しくつよい目の光を放って人を見ていた。しかし、彼女は、私が日本に帰国してからすぐに死んだという悲しいニュースを聞いた。今でも信じられない。あんなに元気だったのに。死んだアナは、私にとってはエレナが住む同じ余剰次元の一員になったので、私の作品にも頻繫に登場するようになっている。

How many people have died on our planet so far? The number of dead is just enormous. The world’s population continues to grow and is expected to reach 8 billion soon. I compared the world to an “Expanding Sphere,” and thought that the world of the living exists on the “Surface of the Earth” while the world of the dead exists “Inside the Earth“. Then, as time progresses, the “Surface of the Earth” expands, but how much does the “Inside of the Earth” expand? It is difficult to imagine even if it can be shown numerically. The number of deaths increases exponentially.

私たちの地球では、これまでどれだけの人間が死んだだろうか。死者の数はまさに膨大である。地球上の人口も増え続け、もうすぐ80億人に達すると言われている。私は、世界を「膨張する球」に例え、生者の世界が「球の表面」に存在するのに対し、死者の世界は「球の内部」に存在すると考えてみた。すると、時の進行とともに、「球の表面」も拡大するが、「球の内部」の膨張は一体どれだけのものになるのか。数値では示せても、想像することは難しい。それほど爆発的に死者の数は増えていく。

The older I get, the more Ana-like beings, including my Elena, the “Inside of Sphere” continue to expand. In such a vast world, how can I find her? I thought. To meet her, I need to think of her and draw her. I felt that its reality determines the “Quality” of the encounter with her. In one painting of her, she wears “Water Wings” on her naked back and dances innocently at the beach.

私が年を取るほど、アナのような存在が増え、「球の内部」も膨張を続ける。そんな広大な世界の中で、彼女をどうやって探せばいいのか?　私は、考えた。彼女に会うためには、彼女を想うこと。そして、彼女を描くこと。そのリアルさが彼女との出会いの「質」を決めるのだと私は感じている。彼女を描いた一枚の絵では、彼女は裸の背中に「水の翼」をつけ、海辺で無心にダンスしている。

Even when the Space Race is born, If they will be born irrespective of the intelligence and technology which the human beings of the earth invades into the universe, and what is also the serious distress the cosmic race feels If one can not be involved, after all, I think that the efforts of the humans will end helplessly. Because, if human’s intelligence and technology are effective to the universe as well, it must be technically involved in the birth of the Space Race and it will have some influence, and even if the Space Race is not a child by human’s science and technology, I hope it is due to extension of the humans at the very least, or a mixture, and it should keep close ties with us now. I want such a familiar relationship to exist between our human and the Space Race.

私は、宇宙人種が誕生する場合にも、宇宙人種が私たち地球の人間が宇宙にもちこむ知性と技術とは無関係に誕生し、宇宙人種が感じる深刻な悩みに対しても何ひとつ関与できないとするならば、結局のところ、人間の宇宙に対する努力も無力に終る、と考える。なぜなら、人間の知性と技術が宇宙に対しても有効であるなら、必ず宇宙人種の誕生にも技術的に関与して何らかの影響を及ぼすはずだからであり、宇宙人種が人類の科学技術の申し子ではないとしても、少なくとも地上から宇宙に進出するヒトの延長か或いはその混合によるもので、現在の私たちと密接な関係を保つはずだからである。私は、宇宙人種と人間との間に、そのような親しい関係が存在して欲しいと思う。

In the “Dream of Evolution” that I draw, the Space Race born from the union of Ilkai and Elena is the gift of human’s intelligence and technology, and even if several countries that carry the folding of the earth into the universe are mixed, there is no problem. The universe is vast and the direction in which the crowds will advance is a mystery to them and the direction of advance is different. Even if they encounter it, since the space where both of them exist has different dimensions, they don’t touch each other directly. So it will not be any warfare there. It is because the weapons that are applicable in the 4D world don’t pass in other surplus dimensions [C-43]. In other words, the people who entered the universe live in different space dimensions due to the difference in their degree of culture, they flourish and perish in different places. And those who could notice their foolishness can start again at “Departure Point” as many times as they want.

私が描く『進化の夢』では、イカイとエレナの合体から誕生する宇宙人種は人間の知性と技術の賜物であると共に、仮に地球の愚行を宇宙にもちこむ国家が混じっていても、少しも困らない。宇宙は広大であり、イカイたちが進出する方向は彼らには謎であり、進出する方向が違うからである。仮に遭遇しても、両者が存在する空間が次元と物質の組成を異にするため、直接に触れ合うことはない。そこにはどんな戦争も成立しない。四次元世界で通用する武器が他の余剰次元では通用しないからである[注43]。つまり、宇宙に進出した者たちは、その文化度の相違による異なった空間の次元を生き、それぞれ別の場所で栄え、滅びるだけである。そして、自分たちの愚かさに気づいた者は、何度でも「出発地点」からやり直すことができる。

Through repetition of such adventure, those who have advanced into space can be trained, and the place where they advanced can be made into a place of new settlement. Also, we will create a new community among those who acquire new settlement sites. Even if each lives in a completely separate universe, it is a common “New Seed” as the same cosmic race, and there is something to empathize with. Through this sympathy, they become members of the “Big Family” of the universe.

このような冒険の繰り返しから、宇宙に進出した者たちは鍛えられ、進出した場所を新しい定住の地にすることができる。また、新しい定住の地を獲得した者たち同士で新しいコミュニティを誕生させていく。それぞれがまったく離れた宇宙に住んでいても、同じ宇宙人種としては共通の「新しい種」であり、そこには共感し合うものがある。この共感を通して、彼らは宇宙大の「大きな家族」の一員になるのである。

Technique of Love / 愛の技術

c-愛について

“Love” is also one of the universal themes of human beings. I want to contribute to improving the “Technique of Love” of men and women.

「愛」も人間の普遍的テーマの一つ。私は男と女の「愛の技術」を高めることに貢献してみたい。どんな社会でも、その社会を動かすのは人間の欲望だ。世界は大きく変化してきたけれど、「愛の技術」も進化しているのかどうか。コミュニケーションの改革とは、一体何か?　結局、世界にはどんな変化が生じているのか。私は次のように考えてきた。

「動物とのつき合い方」が変わった。
「ロボットとのつき合い方」も変わった。
人間は死者や異星人ともつき合うようになった。
ミュニケーションの相手は人間だけではなくなり、「戦争の方法」も変わった。
「愛の技術」も変わった。

大きな変化は、この五つに集約されると私は思う。どの一つをとっても、それが革命的変化であることは間違いない。

人間にとっては、どんな場合にも、他者とのコミュニケーション能力に秀でることが最大の課題だ。愛の場合には、相手がどんな対象でも、相手を理解し、自分を理解し、相手と一体化すること。恋愛の場合には、愛するがゆえに、相手から最も遠い地点に離れることが必要なこともある。愛する人から離れることは辛い。それでも、幸運に恵まれる場合には、以前よりも関係が深まることがある。

どんな場合にも、自分を磨くことが重要になる。徹底的に自分を磨くこと。そして、自分の成長を楽しみ、相手の成長を楽しむこと。そうして、相手との一体化を図ること。一体化とは、魂と魂の結婚という心の問題だけではなく、具体的にも、相手が自分に役立ち、自分が相手に役立つという二つの関係を成立させることだ。これが、他者が存在する世界での人間の永遠の課題だ。一体化こそ、生きる喜びなのだ。だから、人間は、いつになっても一体化の仕掛けが大好きだ。そして、今では、一体化すべき相手が、人間だけではなく、動物や、ロボットや、死者や異星人にも拡大されというわけだ。

いまでは、世界中の多くの男と女が、お互いの秘書ロボットを携帯電話を操るように自由に操り、脳に侵入してお互いの心を読み合い、影響を与え合えるようになっていく。そして、ハッキングにより、実際に相手の身体を動かしてみたり、自由に自分の姿を変えて相手の夢に出現したりして、より魅力的な出会いの可能性に挑戦していける。成功すれば、すごいことになる。しかし、失敗すれば、惨憺たる結果を招く。

私たちの時代は、過去のどんな時代にも増して、相手から深く感謝されたり、反対に相手を深く傷つけることになる時代である。その差は微妙だが、決定的な差になって現れる。なぜそんなに相手に感謝されることになるのか。本人にもわからない場合が多い。逆に、相手が望まないことをやってしまった場合には、深く恨まれることになる。だから、こんな恋愛の世界では、相手に対する繊細な配慮と、慎重な技術がますます要求される。巧妙な技術をもつ者と、未熟な者。その差は大きい。その結果、一方では、聞いたこともないような奇妙な失敗例が山のように積み上げられていく。他方では、輝くような美しい愛の物語が生まれていく。

Love with Elena / エレナと愛し合う

The way “how to love” each other between Elena, who has roots in Mars, and me, I am an earthling, is quite different. This is because Elena is basically an aerial dweller. Elena grew up on Mars in one-third gravity, so it takes time to get used to one gravity after she meets me and lives on Earth. And since I and Elena don’t think it’s too long before we leave Earth and travel to some planet, Elena doesn’t need to get used to the global environment.

火星をルーツにするエレナと地球人の私との「愛し合い方」は、随分違う。基本的にエレナは空中生活者だからである。エレナは1/3の重力環境の火星で育ったため、私と出会い地球に住むようになっても1重力環境に慣れるためには時間がかかる。そして、私もエレナも二人が地球を出てどこかの惑星に旅立つ日はそう遠くはないと考えているので、エレナが地球環境に慣れる必要もないと考えている。

In addition, Elena always bites my neck lightly before kissing or having sex with me, making sure that there is a slight blood bleeding there. It is said that Elena will be “minded” only after seeing the blood. Every time I feel like I’m being attacked by a vampire, I have to put up with a slight pain, but I can’t help it because it’s Elena’s “habit” as a Martian inhabitant. Many Martian residents have a transparent body, so it is an effective way to check how much the other person has a real body.

さらに、エレナは、私とキスしたりセックスしたりする時には、必ずその前に私の首を軽く噛み、そこにうっすらと血が滲むのを確かめる。血を見て初めてエレナも「その気」になるという。私はその度に吸血鬼に襲われた気分になり、軽い痛みも我慢する必要があるが、エレナの火星住民としての「習慣」なので仕方がない。火星住民は身体が透明化している者が多いので、それが相手がどの程度本物の身体の持ち主かどうかを確認する有効な方法なのだそうだ。
